Trauma Therapy GTA & Ontario
Trauma
Untreated trauma is painful and can keep you from feeling the way you want to feel and living the life you want to live. Trauma can result from a single event (PTSD) or from an ongoing lack of safety in one’s environment or relationships (leading to Developmental trauma/Complex trauma). Emotional and physical responses to trauma can impact daily life and relationships keeping you stuck from the life you want to be living.
“Trauma isn’t just what happened to you. It’s what didn’t happen to you. It’s the care you never got. It’s the protection that you weren’t given when you needed it the most”
-Dr.Nicole LePera

“Intergenerational trauma-understanding how pain is passed down..until someone works to heal it”
Trauma, toxic stress, and adverse childhood experiences permanently change one’s body and brain, which can have negative, lifelong consequences. We cannot just think our way of the traumatic memories. It is important to get the right support to understand, work through and heal from the inside out to lead a healthier and happier life.
