Seeking therapy can be a vulnerable process-more so for those of you coming from marginalized communities. Cultural taboos and stereotypes surrounding mental health within BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People Of Colour), intersectional communities (ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, neurodivergence) can hinder individuals from seeking help or openly discussing their struggles.

 I’m passionate about bringing my knowledge, skills, lived experiences, awareness and sensitivity to all these issues to promote a nonjudgmental and inclusive therapeutic environment.

I will incorporate culturally sensitive therapeutic techniques in our diversity therapy sessions that align with your cultural background and values.

  • Explore your intersectional identity and lived experiences in a gentle and affirming way.
  • Examine without judgement how your life circumstances have forced you to learn to keep surviving, hiding aspects of your authentic self.
  • Through diversity & inclusion therapy, we will seek to understand the roots of the barriers, systemic inequities and oppression you have been facing and the impact it has had on your physical, emotional health and wellbeing.
  • Have a greater understanding of your body and skills for self-regulation.
  • Have the tools to express yourself authentically.
  • Move through this world feeling confident and shed yourself of shame.
